Happy Birthday!

Instructions

• Fall birthdays are a fun opportunity to change up the colors and textures normally used for birthdays. Also, the muted colors of this card lend themselves to a masculinity that's perfect for the man in your life.
• Here are the measurements for the papers we'll be using on this card:
  • Sage corrugated: 3 3/4 x 4"
  • Black cardstock: 2 x 5 1/2"
  • #161-32 Long Cards - Ivy: 2 1/2 x 3 3/4"
  • Dark Brown cardstock 3 1/2 x 4"
  • Cream cardstock: 3 1/2 x 4"
  • Vellum cardstock: 1 3/4 x 3 1/2"
  • Desert Sand cardstock: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"
• Once you have your Desert Sand Cardstock cut to size, fold in half (for two segments of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2") and score.
• Stamp "Happy Birthday" in Ivy Designer Ink on the rectangle of Cream Cardstock. Punch a 1/8" hole and insert a silver eyelet, as shown.
• Tear one long edge of each of your rectangles of Ivy Cardstock and Dark Brown Cardstock, and attach as shown to the inside of the card. Once these are set, attach the "Happy Birthday" cream cardstock rectangle.
• Attach your rectangle of black cardstock to the outside of the card as shown.
• Take your rectangle of Sage Corrugated cardboard and hold it color side up. Tear off one long edge. Make sure to tear towards you, so you get an edge of the cream underside along the sage corrugated. Repeat with the other long edge.
• Once the edges are ready, attach to the card on top of the black cardstock as shown. Set aside.
• Stamp Cupcake Trio on your retangle of Vellum Cardstock in Black Outliner Ink. Images stamped on vellum take longer to dry, so give it a few moments.
• Once the cupcakes are dry, attach a yellow bead to each flame as shown.
• Punch a 1/8" hole in each end of the vellum cardstock.
• Lay the cupcake vellum across the front of the card. Loop one end of your ribbon through one hole. Bring the ribbon around the inside of the card and loop it through the other hole. Bring both ends together inside the card and tie a knot to secure the vellum.
• Stamp "It's Your Day" on a large Metal Rimmed Tag in Ivy Designer Ink. Tie the length of brown gingham ribbon through the hole at the top of the tag, and tie to the black ribbon as shown.
